Here are some of the most common issues we see and generally what you can expect during treatment.
-

Treatment can be for an individual or couple.
-
Using an evidence-based approach we help trauma survivors address emotional regulation and interpersonal problems that disrupt day-to-day life. This treatment is not intended to deal with the traumatic event(s) directly but rather improve your ability remain in the moment and stay in tune with work, friends and family.
Treatment is conducted in one-on-one sessions.
-
This therapy will help you explore thoughts and feelings surrounding your loss and ongoing grief. Together, we will better understand how powerful feelings of guilt, anger or sadness affect your mood and daily functioning in order to reduce their disruptive impact.

-
Anxiety and depression paralyze our ability to fully enjoy life. We find ourselves reliving the past (depression) or trying to predict the future (anxiety) and in the process miss the present moment. Together we will work to identify what you value most and learn to take mindful action in that direction - getting you back to doing what you love with the ones you love.

What’s The Process?
These are the seven core steps of our process and what you can expect to happen at each.
-
This is the first and often the most difficult step. We can’t help until you make the call.
-
In this free one-on-one call we will get to know each other a little bit. This is a good opportunity to ask each other questions and determine if you’d like to move forward.
-
We will send you some assessments to fill out so that we can get an idea of what symptoms you are living with and severity of those symptoms.
-
At this point we will begin to build a plan that’s based on your goals and treatment needs.
-
This is where we do the work. In these sessions, we will build the skills you need to achieve your goals. Treatment is not one size fits all. Duration of treatment will be based on your specific needs.
-
Wow! Great job. You have reached a successful completion and achieved your treatment goals. At this stage, we will reflect back on what you’ve learned and talk about how you will use those skills to continue moving forward.
-
We’re so glad you reached your goals and celebrate with you. Knowing that all skills improve with practice, we’ll be reaching out to you 30 days after your final appointment to ensure you’re continuing to do well. If you feel you could use additional support, we’ll be happy to set up refresher appointments.
